DRAMA

Pursuing a career in the arts takes a lot more than strong enthusiasm or even a determined way of thinking.  It takes courage, vision & tenacity; but above all, it takes confidence in yourself.

Good performers understand the importance of developing their talents to the fullest and constantly honing their skills.  Strong coaching is at the heart of many successful careers.

Trilogy Performing School of Arts is a safe and creative professional medium for all aspiring actors, performers, public speakers & voice-over artists dedicated to developing solid skills and gaining confidence as artists and individuals.

We offer a variety of solid skill development programs at all levels to fine tune your instrument and grow your talent.  These programs cover a wide & complete spectrum of distinctions and techniques essential in the pursuit of self-expression as an art form and a career.

As human beings we need to communicate our inner feelings as a function of our aliveness & well being.  To do it publicly & artistically while contributing to the lives of others is a precious experience.  This studio's aim is to empower you to reach inside and find the necessity to share & express it fully.

Our classes will strive to shape you to engender a sense of higher purpose from an artistic perspective.  The basic structure of our programs seeks to teach students the inter-connectedness inherent in the theatre by employing many modes of learning.  It is our hope that by using this form of integrated studies, students begin to recognize their own sense of self and inter-connectedness.  Our programs seek to nurture the mind, body and soul to promote confidence, self-awareness, cooperative learning, discipline, enhance self-esteem and problem solving skills.

Commercial Techniques

Elements you will take away from this class:

§         Experience the actual audition process: You'll work on-camera several times each class doing both prepared and cold readings, and receive plenty of feedback.

§         Script analysis skills.

§         Comfort in front of the camera: How do you stand? How do you hold the script? How do you deal with your partner and the camera at the same time? What is a slate? What do you do with your hands?

§         Practice doing all types of commercials: Scene work, narration, one-liners, bite and smiles, handling products, etc.

§         An understanding of your own unique "self"

§         Individual attention: This class is kept to a maximum of ten so everyone gets a lot of personal attention.

This class will prepare you to show the agents that you are serious about pursuing this type of work.  It also allows them to be more confident in submitting you, because they know you'll be able to handle yourself in front of the camera.  Being a good commercial actor requires many things, a good look, great marketing skills, and lots of talent.  This class is a good first step toward acquiring those things and being successful.
