Trilogy Facts

  1. Trilogy School of Performing Arts is a school of dance/voice/drama in the Lake Zurich Community with easy drive from Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Hawthorn Woods, Deer Park, Forest Lake, Long Grove, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Wauconda, and Mundelein. At Trilogy every student is important and special, everybody will be helped to understand and reach their potential… we strive to develop great performers, but also well-balanced and self-confident boys and girls to ensure them a brilliant future in anything they will choose to do in life. Our promise to you is that nobody will ever receive preferential treatment; our staff is trained in their field of expertise (dance/voice/drama) and also in the Fundamentals of Trilogy in terms of fair and professional behavior. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child or yourself, please do not hesitate to contact the School Director, Anna Berman via e-mail at anna@trilogydance.com or via phone at 847-456-7880.

  7. Payment plans
By check or credit card in full before class start. Should you agree for a payment plan via credit card on file, we are able to offer a monthly payment plan (9 payments Fall 2011 session).
The school is proud to offer dance technique and performance lessons taught by professionals in the field, most of whom still dance at professional level. In addition to extremely well trained staff, the school is a state of the art facility, just built keeping in mind the needs of our community. Therefore we cannot allow our students to come to class if they have an outstanding balance.

  8. Studio rental fee
Please note that all instructors are free to charge their personal fee for private lessons. Trilogy will charge a studio rental. Use of studio for private lessons is only available for current students and is subject to space availability. Reservation in advance is required. Contact Anna Berman at 847-456-7880 or via e-mail: anna@TrilogyDance.com for rates information.

  9. Attire
All dancers are expected to come to class prepared to dance. The proper attire is pink tights/pink leotard/pink canvas ballet shoes for ballet, black shorts and tank for everything else, with black jazz shoes for jazz classes and black jazz sneakers for hip hop classes. Black jazz pants are accepted. Paws are recommended for lyrical and contemporary. During the winter months, students in hip hop can start the class wearing sweat pants before warming up. Hair always in a bun for ballet, in a ponytail for everything else, neatly pulled away from the face. No jewelry, no gum please! For your convenience we have just recently opened a small Dance Corner in the studio, selling dance basics (shoes, shorts, leotards, tights, and miscellaneous). Take a look at what we have to offer!

  10. Recital
Even though the recital is an important moment of any dancer's life, we do understand the need to keep it simple and to make sure every family can continue their regular routines during that time. Therefore Trilogy School of Performing Arts is proud to offer a one-time recital night. For the same reason, and to make sure every family can afford financially to be part of the Recital, the costumes will be kept at a reasonable price.

  11. Where are the boys?
Many families have asked about dance classes geared towards boys specifically. While we will keep this need in mind, and will be happy at some point to offer a boy-only class, we do feel that a truly performing experience would not be complete without boys and girls dancing together. Our instructors are professionally trained and used to work with girls and boys, our music will be selected making sure it is adequate for both genders and the black attire will eliminate any other issues that might arise from having boys and girls in the same dance class.

  12. Trilogy Company
At Trilogy all dancers are considered performers and no special treatment is given to the members of company: Everybody will take the same base classes in terms of ballet/jazz/barre work, and those who choose to be member of our Company will audition and become member of this groups, with additional team rehearsal time. The competition season will probably run from March to May, depending on the competitions best suited for the studio.

  13. Trilogy Fun Time (TFT)
From time to time Trilogy School of Performing Arts will organize special bonding activities open to all students of the school. We will announce these activities on the Web Site and on the Bulletin Board inside the school.

  14. Trilogy Manager
    Trilogy School of Performing Arts
is proud to offer Trilogy Manager, a brand new software program which will manage all your school needs: dance classes, registration, internal e-mail, school communications, and so on. This program is work in progress, therefore we invite you to check it out, use all its features when available, and let us know if something does not work correctly (please e-mail Walter Berman at Walterb@trilogydance.com with questions, comments and/or concerns regarding Trilogy Manager.)
