DISCOVERDANCE CLASSES

Dancers should wear leggings or shorts with a tank top or t-shirt. Leotards are acceptable as long as they are one solid color. If the leotard has an attached skirt, it must be the same material as the leotard and fall flat when standing. No tulle tutus are allowed. If choosing to wear a leotard, dancers must also wear footless pink or tan tights, or fitted shorts over the leotard. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a secure ponytail or braid. Any headbands must be secure and simple. No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

Required Shoes

Dancers do not wear shoes or socks.

ALL HIP HOP AND STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES

Dancers should wear black loose fitting pants or shorts with a black t-shirt or tank top. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a secure ponytail or braid. Any headbands must be secure and simple. No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

Required Shoes

Clean-soled sneakers.

No shoes worn outside are allowed on the dance floors.

ALL ACRO CLASSES

Dancers must wear black jazz/bike shorts or leggings with a solid black FITTED tank/t-shirt or leotard. Hair must be in a secure low ponytail. No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

Required Shoes

Barefeet are required.

 

ALL BALLET CLASSES

Boys should wear solid black shorts with a solid white t-shirt. Girls should wear a black leotard with pink convertible tights. Hair must be pulled back in a secure bun. No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

Required Shoes

Black canvas ballet shoes for boys.

Pink leather ballet shoes for K-4th grade girls.

Ballet pink split-sole canvas ballet shoes for girls 5th grade and up.

ALL PRE-POINTE/POINTE CLASSES

Attire, shoes and hair are the same as Ballet. Pointe shoes are by recommendation ONLY. Dancers are also required to have their own wide medium to strong resistance band, small Pilates Ball, and Pinky Ball for class. Inexpensive options are available on Amazon.

ALL OTHER CLASS STYLES

Girls should wear black tight fitting shorts or leggings with a black t-shirt or tank top. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a secure ponytail or braid. Any headbands must be secure and simple. No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

Required Shoes

Jazz shoes are required in all Jazz, Poms, Musical Theater, and Leaps and Turns classes.

(​Black jazz shoes are required for dancers within the K-4th Grade Division.)

Barefeet are required in Contemporary/Modern, Lyrical, and Acro.

Tap shoes are required in Tap classes.

(Within the K-4th grade division, boys must wear black oxford style tap shoes and girls must wear black slip on tap shoes.)
